Kim's Convenience

Soulpepper Theatre

AWARDS: Won 2 Toronto Critics Awards including BEST NEW PLAY and was nominated for 3 Dora Awards.

Mengesha directed the Canadian premiere of Kim's Convenience at Soulpepper Theatre. After playing a sold out run the theatre brought the show back twice to try and fulfill the demand.  The play broke box office history and brought new audiences to the theatre.  It is currently still on tour across the country and is in development to be turned into a feature film and national TV show.
